On this day 69 years ago, hundreds of thousands of men risked their lives and many were lost in the defence of freedom and the pursuit of liberation to those who needed it.
“D-Day”, June 6th 1944, arguably sparked the beginning of the end for the Nazi war effort.
Always grateful for the sacrifices of the heroes on that day and every day since, never forgotten.

And yes, I’m aware this isn’t a real photograph, before some smart arse misses the point and tries to be clever.
